Alpaca profile: CDA Aroha's Delight

Dee Dee is my personal project, a petite full Chilean girl that some time ago suffered a jaw injury that left the right side of her mouth maimed. It didn't help that shortly after she arrived she came down with symptoms of the dreaded meningeal worm and we worked long and hard with the help of the vet to save her. So far so good, and the residual stiffness in her hindquarters is actually giving way very slowly to some flexibility again.

Although she appears sad and broken, she's incredibly sweet, very submissive, and responds very well to large doses of rubs and cuddles. Old injuries aside, her spirit is strong and resilient and she has no problems eating. I purchased her as a 'guinea pig' for the junior herdsires, and as a companion animal. Dee Dee will never be offered for sale, she will remain at our farm for the remainder of her life.
